Hello 9th and 10th Graders! We are at the end of the second week of Level 3 here at Central. You have all been working so hard, logging into your Zoom sessions, and doing your best to learn at home. We understand that this situation is not ideal and appreciate your patience, flexibility, and hard work during this tough time. We miss seeing you at school and you have been in our thoughts this week. As you know, next week, November 23-27 is our fall break, which means no school. During this time people often take time to give thanks. Focusing on what is good in our lives and being thankful for the things we have can make us feel better. Below is are some simple things that you can do to practice gratitude. I hope you enjoy this week’s newsletter and have a relaxing and fun Thanksgiving holiday!

Practicing Gratitude

**Newsletter day change. Starting Monday, November 30th, we will begin sending the newsletter on Mondays instead of Fridays.

Free Meals

Reminder: Student Nutrition is offering grab-n-go meal pick up TODAY to cover meals through Thanksgiving week. These meals will be handed out Friday, Nov. 20th at the below sites and times.

 Friday, November 20th (5 breakfasts & 5 lunches)

Central 7:00am-1:00pm

Beadle 7:00am-1:00pm

Stevens 7:00am-1:00pm

East 7:00am-1:00pm

Southwest 7:00am-1:00pm

South 7:00am-1:00pm

These meals are served at no charge, parents do not have to pre-order them, and meals can be picked up at these schools regardless of which school the student is enrolled in (Example: meals can be picked up for a Grandview student at South Middle). Parents/guardians and/or students are to walk up to the main entrance and Student Nutrition staff will open the door and ask how many students they’re picking up meals for. Student Nutrition staff will then place the meals on carts outside the building and parents will grab the meals. Parents are to maintain physical distance, not enter the building, and follow the contactless pick up protocol. Meal pick up locations and times will be adjusted on a weekly basis.
