Hello, Class of 2023!
We hope you are all doing well and staying warm! Next week is finals week, then semester 2 begins on January 19th. We appreciate your hard work this year. It’s been another challenging year and are amazed at our students’ hard work and resilience. Below are a few key items to know this January.
Important Dates
Jan 10-13th: Finals Week
Jan 14th:  Pink Day (still Semester 1)
Jan 17th: Martin Luther King Jr Day – no school
Jan 18th: Professional Development – no students
Jan 19th: First day of Semester 2
Remember that all juniors must be enrolled in a minimum of six classes each semester.   Just a reminder, you will need sixteen total credits to be coded as a senior next fall. If you don’t pass a class this semester, you will need to take it next year.  Please email your counselor or make an appointment if you would like to discuss credits, senior classes, or post-high planning.
Semester 2 WDT Dual Enrollment Jumpstart Orientation
All semester 2 WDT Dual Enrollment Students must attend a Jumpstart Orientation, either in person or online! The live session is this Wednesday OR you can do a virtual orientation.  WDT classes offered onsite at CHS will begin January 20th! In person and online classes at WDT begin January 10th! Orientation is REQUIRED for all dual enrollment students this spring. This includes if you attended WDT this fall semester. Orientation is a great opportunity to receive up to date information about what is required as a dual enrollment student and to ensure you receive the credit needed to graduate from high school and meet your future goals. If you are registered for a 2nd semester DE class with WDT please check your email about the orientation options (dates/times)!
