Hello Juniors! We’ve made it to May¬†ūüôāWe are down to just 19 days of school left. Below I have some end of school year reminders and summer opportunities. We’ve enjoyed working with you this year and hope you have a great summer!
Important Dates
May 23-26: Semester 2 Finals
May 26: End of Q4 and Last Day of School
May 29: Central High School Graduation (1:30 p.m.)
Finals Week
The last week of school is finals week. If you haven’t done so already, please review the attached 2nd¬†Semester¬†Final Exam Schedule to determine when you take your finals.¬† Monday, May 23 will be a pink day. You will attend all your classes and review for finals on that day. Remember to be on time to your final tests. If you are athlete and have a competition that week, please contact your teacher to schedule your final.
Summer School

Summer school registration is now available to students and parents. Summer school classes will use Edgenuity software and runs June 6 ‚Äď July 14, Monday through Thursday, and will be located at Rapid City High School, with the option to complete courses virtually. If you are not sure what courses you need, view your ‚ÄúAcademic History‚ÄĚ in Skyward or ask your counselor. Remember, you need 16 credits to be a senior. Fall Dual Enrollment at Western Dakota Technical College (WDT)

Just a reminder that the paperwork deadline to take dual enrollment classes at WDT is Friday, May 13th. The paperwork required includes: the online application to WDT (if you never have completed one or completed one prior to January 2022) and approval form signed by you and your parent. Please contact your counselor if you have any questions.

Give Nursing a Shot


Time: Starting at 3 p.m. on Sunday, June 12th

Location: USD Beacom School of Business | Vermillion, SD

Cost: $75 OTAL. This includes housing and food for 4 nights and 5 days)

During this five-day event, high school students will have the opportunity to engage in funactivities such as Great Shots Virtual Golf, the new USD E-sports Arena and other USD activities all while gaining and applying introductory business analytics skills.   The University of South Dakota (visitdays.com)
