About CHS

  • Rapid City Central High School is one of the largest high schools in South Dakota.

  • Our school mascot is the “Cobbler”, which is the nickname that was changed from “Tigers” to “Cobblers” in honor of former coach/athletic director & South Dakota Hall of Fame Member, E.N. “Euc” Cobb during the 1934-35 school year.

  • The school colors are Red & White and the school fight song is
    “Let’s Go, Rapid City”

    to the music of “Huckleberry Hound”.

  • The popular and long standing quote/mantra for Rapid City Central is
