About CHS
Rapid City Central High School is one of the largest high schools in South Dakota.
Our school mascot is the “Cobbler”, which is the nickname that was changed from “Tigers” to “Cobblers” in honor of former coach/athletic director & South Dakota Hall of Fame Member, E.N. “Euc” Cobb during the 1934-35 school year.
The school colors are Red & White and the school fight song is
“Let’s Go, Rapid City”
to the music of “Huckleberry Hound”.The popular and long standing quote/mantra for Rapid City Central is
“Once A Cobbler, Always A Cobbler“!
